About Japanese III/IV:
The purpose of this course is to further develop students’ proficiency in Japanese communication and comprehension. Students will continue to learn another 50-100 kanji each year. The Japanese III/IV class is currently a two-year alternating curriculum. This year students will learn how to discuss physical and psychological health, Alaska, Japan & the environment, life and career choices, and will continue to learn about traditional Japanese culture and its effect on current issues. By the end of third year, students should have a novice-high to intermediate-low level of proficiency, and should achieve a strong intermediate-low to intermediate-mid by fourth year, potentially earning their Seal of Biliteracy. |
